How to join
- You copy or share your TR- referral code from Profile → Referral & Rewards.
- Your friend signs in, enters your code, checks your name and selects Confirm & Lock.
- They save qualifying journeys. You can both follow progress and earned rewards in Referral & Rewards.

At least five journeys across at least three distinct dates, with at least seven days between the earliest and latest qualifying dates. You do not need to travel every day.
For example, five valid journeys spread across 5, 8 and 12 October meet the date requirements. Existing saved journeys can count once checked.

One referrer per account
Once confirmed, your referrer cannot be changed or removed. Self-referrals and circular referrals are not allowed. A referral does not add someone as a friend or link your accounts; Friend Linking is separate.
Genuine, valid journey records
Journeys are checked against railway timetable records. Future or incomplete travel, cancelled services, bus legs and invalid records do not qualify. Duplicate records for the same service and date count once; a saved journey with multiple legs counts as one journey. Deleted or invalidated records do not count.
Earn first, redeem separately
Only qualified friends count towards the reward ladder. Each friend qualifies once. Rewards appear in your account; they are not automatically applied at checkout. Open Referral & Rewards and select an earned reward to redeem it.
Monthly rewards, one at a time
The 30% and 50% rewards discount one month; the free-month reward covers one month. These offers apply to the Monthly Pass, not the Yearly Pass. Rewards are separate and discounts cannot be stacked. Your store confirms eligibility, any expiry, the offer price and subsequent renewal terms before you confirm.
iOS redemption
Redeem through Apple from the app. Each offer can be redeemed once per Apple account. Further earned rewards for the same offer remain saved, but cannot be redeemed again through that Apple offer. Another code does not bypass this limit. See Apple’s offer-code rules.
Android redemption
You can earn and track referral rewards on Android. Google Play reward redemption is not available yet, so earned rewards remain saved in your account. An available reward can be redeemed on iOS using the same Trainfolio account, subject to Apple’s eligibility rules.
Continue on the same platform
When you start redemption, that reward is reserved for the chosen store. Continue there if checkout is interrupted; starting again on another platform will not apply the same reward twice.
Your journey details stay private
Your referrer sees your display name, qualification status and how many of the three requirements you have completed. They do not see your journey dates, stations or account email through the referral dashboard.

Plus on iOS and Android
Your membership is attached to one signed-in Trainfolio account. Use that same account on both platforms. Manage or cancel your subscription in the app store where you purchased it; Restore Purchases is available in the app.
What happens when Plus ends?
Your local journeys remain readable. Cloud backups enter a 30-day grace period after expiry, then server journey backups may be removed. Keep a local copy on each device where you want your archive. Renewing during the grace period restores cloud backup.
Prices and the yearly trial
UK pricing is £2.99/month or £24.99/year. The yearly pass saves £10.89 (about 30%) compared with twelve monthly payments, excluding trials and referral offers. Eligible yearly subscribers receive 14 days free, then £24.99/year. Both plans renew automatically until cancelled; your store confirms local pricing and eligibility before purchase.
